2025 Catch Up (Dead Air, Time of Death, and more!)
I am probably the only person who reads these, but in case you find yourself on my website checking out my work, Hi! I have been kept incredibly busy between weddings and theatre and I have plenty to catch people up on. Picking up where I left off, last year was incredibly successful. I had the joy of MCing my first wedding. It was a blast and I choreographed the couple’s first dance as well. They were stunning and the day was pretty perfect (sans the part where I was trapped in my hotel bathroom the day of the wedding!). Coming up this year I am working on two weddings already and I am thrilled to be doing some planning, choreography, and officiating. So if you need someone to marry you and your future spouse, I can do that!
Last year’s performances and workshops were all wonderful. Our first ever Murder Mystery dinner has led to more opportunities this year. I am beyond excited to continue to do them in addition to other projects. We also ended up doing several types of improv projects in addition to the Murder Mystery, several traditional improv shows, an improv battle, and The Tower (a brand new style of live RP improv with a storyteller and a devious block tower). Looking forward to more of these this year!
I directed my first full Shakespeare piece, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, but Shaken-speare style! The actors don’t know what role they would be playing until they are randomly assigned a part by the audience at the show. It was a riot and we even got the audience involved as fairies. In addition we had several New Works Nights with local playwrights and recorded new podcast episodes (something we are hoping to really ramp up in 2025!).
Speaking of 2025, so far in addition to those upcoming weddings, I have been directing a few different plays about murder including Dead Air, which we performed and sold out at The Rex Theatre as part of a fundraiser for the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester. And we have a second performance of it coming up (with some fun changes) at the end of March at Zorvino’s Vineyards as a fundraiser for the Arts Academy of NH. Thrilled to help raise money for some great places and always open to doing more if people are interested!
I am also directing a Mainstage show for Cue Zero Theatre Company this season, the East Coast Premiere of Jonah Knight’s Time of Death. The show is May 2-4th at the Arts Academy of NH and tickets are already on sale. I am thrilled to be working on such an intense triple homicide thriller set in two timelines that exist simultaneously on stage together. The timeline leading up to the murders and the police investigation timeline. I have the honor of working directly with the playwright on this project and am excited to bring it to life with the best production and acting team a director could ask for. The combat, set, costumes, etc. will all look incredible and the acting is on point already with two months to go. If you are reading this, please come see it! It cannot recommend the show enough.
That brings us to the end of our catch up session. I am thrilled to be chasing my creative dreams and I look forward to a very full 2025 as we continue to add fun projects to the calendar. Maybe I will even be better about updating here, we shall see! :D
